Service Description
Join us on for a hands-on hue (gourd) crafting workshop at Whare Manaaki. In this workshop, participants can create their own taonga pūoro (traditional musical instrument), lamp, or ipu (container) from a hue. You’ll have the chance to decorate, embellish, paint, and carve your gourd to make a truly unique piece. Materials such as tools, paints, pens, feathers, and strings will be provided. Hue will be available to purchase on-site, with prices ranging from $10 to $40, or you may bring your own. With the support of our team and resources, craft a taonga that is uniquely yours.
